StarApple AI: Jamaica’s Trailblazer in Artificial Intelligence and Global Tech Innovation

StarApple’s founder Adrian Dunkley, a veteran technologist, entrepreneur, and AI engineer of 15 years, saw the value of AI to all Caribbeans and Caribbean industries. As a member of the prestigious Forbes Technology Council and President of the JTDA, Dunkley’s vision is rooted in a deep commitment to creating AI tools by Caribbeans and Latin Americans for their own communities. This focus on cultural relevance and understanding sets StarApple AI apart in a field where global solutions often fail to meet local needs. Mr Dunkley commented, “I believe Jamaica has the highest concentration of creativity per square mile, it’s time we tap into that resource to fuel a technological revolution”.
StarApple AI’s expertise spans multiple sectors, including fintech, journalism, marketing and research. The company’s ability to adapt and apply AI solutions to a variety of industries is a testament to its innovative spirit and dedication to staying ahead of the curve. This was proven with an investment from the RJRGLEANER, one of the region’s largest media conglomerates in 2022. It doesn’t stop there, Mr Dunkley launched a free training program called Sprout, which offers free AI training for Caribbeans; with 300 persons enrolled, 70% of which are female, the future is bright for StarApple and the Caribbean.
